Chip Away turns big goals into something you can do today: show up once, fill a dot, build a streak.
Set a goal with a target or make it open-ended, then check in once a day. Each check-in fills a dot on your progress grid, so you see your consistency at a glance and your streak grow day by day.
It is built to stay out of your way: a couple of taps to check in. Notifications are optional.
What's New in v2.2.3
Moving around the app
- Minor fixes to reduce some layout shifting and flashes when changing views
- Scroll position is kept per tab, so coming back to something you were part-way through returns you where you were
- Opened stats panel stays open if you switch pages (Settings to Goals)
A new coat of paint
- Components got a minor visual overhaul
- Buttons, fields and dropdowns share one height, so a row of mixed controls lines up wherever they sit together
- The dark theme sits a shade deeper, and the OLED theme follows, with the header, tab bar and bottom bar going true black
- Light theme color scheme went through a slight shift towards more neutral gray
- An unchecked day reads as a hole in the card, and cards sit a little further apart
- Shadows behind colored elements are quieter in the light theme
Streaks and check-in
- A goal whose streak resets tomorrow carries a traveling light around its card, so the one thing that needs you today is the one thing that catches your eye
- The check-in hold works from the keyboard: Enter starts the fill, Escape calls it off
- Screen readers announce the hold as it starts, lands, or is called off
- Tapping a reminder opens the goal it belongs to
