Install latest/beta of deepseek-r1
Ubuntu 16.04 or later?
Make sure snap support is enabled in your Desktop store.
Install using the command line
sudo snap install deepseek-r1 --betaDon't have snapd? Get set up for snaps.
This snap installs an optimized environment for inference with the DeepSeek R1 reasoning language model.
Before you start, make sure to have the necessary drivers installed on the host: https://documentation.ubuntu.com/inference-snaps/how-to/install-drivers/
Install:
sudo snap install deepseek-r1 --beta

The DeepSeek R1 model is licensed under Apache 2.0.
OpenVINO Model Server is licensed under Apache 2.0.
The llama.cpp project is licensed under MIT.
The licenses of the remaining software can be found inside the snap at /snap/deepseek-r1/current/usr/share/doc.
