Fast, private web browser with built-in ad and tracker blocking
Flint is a fast, private desktop web browser by Dhiva Labs with ad and tracker blocking, secure DNS, turbo downloads and reader mode built in, and zero telemetry.
- Ad and tracker blocking: EasyList and EasyPrivacy applied at the network level, not as an extension, with a per-site toggle and live blocked counters on every tab.
- Secure DNS (DNS-over-HTTPS) via Cloudflare, Quad9, Google, AdGuard or your own resolver.
- Turbo downloads: a multi-connection segmented downloader with pause and resume.
- Reader mode, private windows, HTTPS-first browsing and session restore.
- Tabs, omnibox suggestions, bookmarks, history, downloads, find in page, zoom and print.
- Zero telemetry: Flint sends nothing, anywhere. Your history, bookmarks and settings stay on your machine.
Downloads are saved to your Downloads folder. To save to or open files from USB drives and other media under /media or /mnt, and to let sites use your microphone or camera (after you allow them in Flint), connect:
sudo snap connect flint-browser:removable-media sudo snap connect flint-browser:audio-record sudo snap connect flint-browser:camera
Printing to a printer set up in your system's CUPS needs:
sudo snap connect flint-browser:cups-control
(Saving a page as PDF from the print dialog works without it.) To make Flint your default browser, choose it in your desktop's Default Applications settings.
