Download videos, music and photos from DLNA-enabled devices such as HDD VCRs and TVs
The DLNA Downloader provides an intuitive interface to browse and download media
from DLNA-enabled devices such as HDD videorecorders or TVs. If supported by
the device, the DLNA Downloader shows you not only the title, but also the
size, duration, date and channel the program was recorded on.
Snap-Info: To download files to removable drives, you have to manually add the permission by issuing the command snap connect dlna-downloader:removable-media in a terminal.
For versions of Ubuntu between 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) and 15.10 (Wily Werewolf), as well as Ubuntu flavours that don’t include snap by default, snap can be installed from the Ubuntu Software Centre by searching for snapd.
Alternatively, snapd can be installed from the command line:
sudo apt update
sudo apt install snapd
Either log out and back in again, or restart your system, to ensure snap’s paths are updated correctly.
