This snap configures a WiFi hotspot talking to the network-manager snap. It is designed to be used on an UbuntuCore appliance image and is only tested in that context.
To use this package you need to have the network-manager snap installed
snap install --channel=20/stable network-manager
... then connect to the network-manager interface with
snap connect nm-wifi-hotspot:network-manager network-manager
This will create a hotspot with the default SSID "UbuntuCore Hotspot" and with a WPA2 key set to "0123456789". To change SSID or the key from the default you can use
snap set nm-wifi-hotspot ssid="My Cool SSID"
snap set nm-wifi-hotspot psk="abcdefghijk"

Snaps are applications packaged with all their dependencies to run on all popular Linux distributions from a single build. They update automatically and roll back gracefully.
Snaps are discoverable and installable from the Snap Store, an app store with an audience of millions.
On a Raspberry Pi running the latest version of Raspbian snap can be installed directly from the command line:
sudo apt update
sudo apt install snapd
You will also need to reboot your device:
sudo reboot
After this, install the snapd snap in order to get the latest snapd:
sudo snap install snapd
To install nm-wifi-hotspot, simply use the following command:
sudo snap install nm-wifi-hotspot --edge
Browse and find snaps from the convenience of your desktop using the snap store snap.
