JADX, Dex to Java decompiler (latest upstream release)
JADX decompiles Android Dex/APK (and also .jar, .class, .aar, .aab, .smali) to Java source code. It ships two tools: a GUI to browse, search and navigate decompiled code (with deobfuscation, smali view, usage search, debugger and plugins), and a command-line decompiler.
This is an unofficial community snap. It is not made or endorsed by the JADX authors. It repackages the official release archive from https://github.com/skylot/jadx/releases together with OpenJDK 21 from Ubuntu 24.04, and is rebuilt automatically when a new release appears. JADX is licensed under Apache-2.0; the source is available at https://github.com/skylot/jadx.
Commands:
jadx-unofficial JADX GUI
jadx-unofficial.jadx command-line decompiler
To get the usual jadx name for the CLI:
sudo snap alias jadx-unofficial.jadx jadx
Files are reachable in $HOME (non-hidden paths). For /media and /mnt run: sudo snap connect jadx-unofficial:removable-media
