Install latest/stable of jbang
Ubuntu 16.04 or later?

Install using the command line
sudo snap install jbang --classicDon't have snapd? Get set up for snaps.
jbang let you build and run java applications without java pre-installed and using any maven artifact dependency for your scripts/apps.
Use sudo snap install jbang --edge --classic to install latest/greatest.
Generate an embeddable card to be shared on external websites.
