Install latest/stable of lighttpd-snap
Ubuntu 16.04 or later?
Make sure snap support is enabled in your Desktop store.
Install using the command line
sudo snap install lighttpd-snapDon't have snapd? Get set up for snaps.
This is a simple web server with lighttpd debian package from Ubuntu archive
The webpage content can be replaced by replacing files under /var/snap/lighttpd-snap/current/www/
Current lighttpd service is running with lighttpd.conf in /var/snap/lighttpd-snap/current/lighttpd.conf
