Self-hosted bookmark manager

linkding is a bookmark manager that you can host yourself. It's designed be to be minimal, fast, and easy to set up.

The application starts up a service listener by default (i.e. snap.linkding.listener.service on systemd at the time of writing) automatically so you don't need to manually launch it. To find out how to log in with the automatically created super user, sudo linkding get linkding superuser-password.

Offers the following configuration keys:

  • disable-background-tasks: default false, i.e. background jobs are executed
  • host: default 127.0.0.1 (set to 0.0.0.0 to access the service outside the host system)
  • superuser-name: default admin (if you want to stop the application from maintaining the superuser password based on the configuration, unset the sudo snap unset linkding superuser-name)

superuser-password: default value created (to read it, sudo snap get linkding)
