Private AI grammar checker, rewriter and smart reply writer that runs offline

Paraphrase is a private AI grammar checker, proofreader, rewriter and smart reply writer that runs offline, on your own computer. What you write never leaves it: there is no account, no cloud and no usage data.

  • Proofread and spell check: fix spelling, grammar and punctuation, with every change shown and one Undo per change.
  • Rewrite and paraphrase: change the tone to professional, polite, friendly, casual, concise and more.
  • Smart reply: three short replies to a message, or a full email reply from what you want to say.
  • Summarize, format as bullets, a table or an email, and translate.
  • Your own actions, in your own words.
  • Works in English, Hindi and Hinglish, and on a best-effort basis in many more languages.
  • Open it over any app with a shortcut, or use the window: paste, pick an action, copy.

The AI model (about 3.4 GB) is downloaded once, from the setup window; after that Paraphrase works without an internet connection.
