Install latest/stable of Perplexity Desktop
Ubuntu 16.04 or later?
Make sure snap support is enabled in your Desktop store.
Install using the command line
sudo snap install perplexity-desktopDon't have snapd? Get set up for snaps.

For microphone access you need to connect the audio-record interface:
sudo snap connect perplexity-desktop:audio-record
