Install latest/edge of quack

Ubuntu 16.04 or later?

Make sure snap support is enabled in your Desktop store.

Install using the command line

sudo snap install quack --edge

Don't have snapd? Get set up for snaps.

quack is only available on the unstable edge channel. It could break and change often.

Instructions

  • Register your domain on https://www.duckdns.org/
  • Install the app: snap install quack
  • Configure the app: sudo quack.config

Quack will now run automatically as a background service. Check how to interact with quack on https://snapcraft.io/docs/service-management

You can check quack's logs with snap logs quack

Configuration

  • token: you can find your token on Duck DNS after you log in
  • domain: one of the domains you registered on Duck DNS
  • time interval: seconds between each update (defaults to 300)
