RSPlayer is a music player built for high-quality playback of local music libraries. It decodes FLAC, WAV, ALAC, DSD (DSF/DFF), MP3, AAC, Ogg and more, and can send audio bit-perfect to a USB DAC via direct ALSA access, or through PipeWire/PulseAudio for everyday listening.
Features:
The desktop app embeds the same engine that powers the headless RSPlayer server, which you can also run on a Raspberry Pi, NAS or home server and control from any browser.
For bit-perfect direct ALSA output to a USB DAC, connect the alsa interface:
sudo snap connect rsplayer:alsa
For music libraries on external/removable drives (/media, /mnt):
sudo snap connect rsplayer:removable-media
Note: mounting network shares from inside the app and system power actions are not available in the snap sandbox.
