Ubuntu 16.04 or later?
Make sure snap support is enabled in your Desktop store.
Install using the command line

IMPORTANT: you must MANUALLY grant this tool the "Access hardware information" permission. Use the Permissions button - or alternatively the CLI:
snap connect sensors-unity:hardware-observe :hardware-observe
For configuring the labels and selecting the displayed sensors, create
~/snap/sensors-unity/current/.config/sensors3.conf
