Ubuntu launcher V1 killer stories — design prototype
A design-discussion prototype of the next Ubuntu launcher, rebuilt case by case: search across modes, emoji, file pinning, the "find a window or a tab" panel, and three AI "killer stories" (match my desktop to a photo, find a reader for a file, turn the clipboard into a visit plan).
Everything is simulated. The launcher is a real translucent window under the top panel with a real panel indicator, and each action posts a real desktop notification naming what would have happened instead of changing the machine.
This snap is a standalone demo. It does not replace the desktop's launcher.
NOTE: it places itself top-right via X11 (XWayland); on a pure Wayland session it still runs but can't position its own window.
