Install latest/edge of wayland-debug
Ubuntu 16.04 or later?
Make sure snap support is enabled in your Desktop store.
Install using the command line
sudo snap install wayland-debug --edge --classicDon't have snapd? Get set up for snaps.
A CLI for viewing, filtering, and setting breakpoints on Wayland protocol messages.
Quickstart
$ sudo snap install wayland-debug
$ wayland-debug -r gedit
