Install latest/edge of YouTube Live Streamer
Ubuntu 16.04 or later?
Make sure snap support is enabled in your Desktop store.
Install using the command line
sudo snap install youtube-live-streamer --edge
Don't have snapd? Get set up for snaps.
Note: only cams with h264 codec are supported at the moment

to the latest available version according to https://forum.snapcraft.io/t/installing-snap-on-debian
sudo snap install youtube-live-streamer --edge
stream key
in YouTube Studio (https://studio.youtube.com/channel/UC/livestreaming)sudoedit /var/snap/youtube-live-streamer/common/live-streamer.conf
youtube-stream-key: "xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx"
line by removing #
at the beginning and replace xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx
with your stream key
sudo snap restart youtube-live-streamer
Troubleshooting
sudo snap logs youtube-live-streamer
or sudo snap logs youtube-live-streamer -f
