The Zephyr SDK provides the GNU cross-compilation toolchains used to build the Zephyr RTOS for every supported target architecture. This snap builds the toolchains from source with the bundled crosstool-NG.
The base snap contains the architecture-independent SDK tree (the CMake package that lets find_package(Zephyr-sdk) locate the toolchains, the sdk_version / sdk_toolchains metadata and the setup helper) together with the default x86_64-zephyr-elf toolchain. Install the matching zephyr-sdk-ng+<target> component to add any other toolchain.
Point the Zephyr build system at the SDK with: export ZEPHYR_SDK_INSTALL_DIR=/snap/zephyr-sdk-ng/current/usr/lib
