The snap provides an executable to test a CANopen network.

The console application StartupTest checks the proper installation of the IXXAT CANopen Master API resources. Together with a second running instance of StartupTest the functioning of the installed CANopen API is ensured by reception and transmission of CAN-messages in CANopen format. Correct installation of the CAN driver and the wiring is also validated. Requires SocketCAN driver. For customers who purchased HMS CANbus software along with the Dell hardware product, SocketCAN driver should be part of the kernel snap already installed on the system. If the driver is not installed, then attempt to update the kernel snap with "snap refresh caracalla-kernel" command from the system and reboot. If driver still does not install and HMS CANbus software was purchased with Dell hardware, contact Dell Support.
