GAM is a command line tool for Google Workspace admins.

GAM is a command line tool that allows administrators to manage many aspects of their Google Workspace (formerly G Suite / Google Apps) Account.

This snap tracks GAM's major versions separately, since the two are not configuration-compatible. GAM 7 is published to the 7 track (the default), and GAM 6 remains on the latest track as a legacy release:

sudo snap install gam-bp # GAM 7 (default)
 sudo snap install gam-bp --channel=latest/stable # GAM 6 (legacy)

The snap sets GAMCFGDIR so each user's configuration lives under their own snap area, enabling a multi-user install. Migrating from GAM 6 to GAM 7 requires reauthorising.

For simplicity's sake, it's also recommended to add a snap alias:

 sudo snap alias gam-bp.gam gam
