Install latest/stable of The Metasploit Framework
Ubuntu 16.04 or later?
Make sure snap support is enabled in your Desktop store.
Install using the command line
sudo snap install metasploit-frameworkDon't have snapd? Get set up for snaps.

Also, for access to low-level network settings you need to manually add permissions for Metasploit using the following command:-
$ snap connect metasploit-framework:network-control :network-control
