Ubuntu 16.04 or later?

Make sure snap support is enabled in your Desktop store.


Install using the command line

sudo snap install androidsdk

The sdkmanager is a command line tool that allows you to view, install, update, and uninstall packages for the Android SDK.

Location of installed components: ~/AndroidSDK

Note if you use mnt or media sdk root dirs please add the required permissions

snap connect androidsdk:removable-media

Example:

  • androidsdk --list - show available packages
  • androidsdk 'platforms;android-29' - install 'platforms;android-29' package
