Install latest/stable of Pinta
Ubuntu 16.04 or later?
Make sure snap support is enabled in your Desktop store.
Pinta is a tiny, fast & easy to use raster image editor, building upon the classic open source releases of the Windows' exclusive Paint.NET, enhanced with GTK4 and Libadwaita for a native Linux experience that runs on beautifully on MacOS and Windows too.
Pinta is freely licensed (MIT), which means it's free of charge to use for personal and commercial purposes. Use it as much as you'd like, including sharing it with others (👀), changing it to suit your needs at the source code level 🖥️, or creating and sharing plugins with the community 🥳🥂!
Pinta strives to be more than Microsoft Paint, but less than GNU's Image Manipulation Program, Krita, and similar advanced raster editors; intended for the average person who may need to quickly add some text to a screenshot, adjust the colour profile of their selfies, add transparency, etc., with a variety of effects and brushes available.
