🎨 Painting made simple 🖌️🖼️

Pinta is an easy to use image editor.

Layers are a native class feature whilst the application is designed to be both usable for daily tasks without getting in your way.

Add big text and a red rectangle to your screenshot. Crop your selfie. Frame your pets. 😉

Wanting to get involved? Pinta is built on C# and Libadwaita. Don't worry KDE users, we use the XDG Desktop File Open Portal - you can use the KDE file picker, and even disable the header bar to use a traditional menu bar! That's the third kitty, Cheese; alongside Nova and Kiki in reverse order - if you've got screenshots enabled above.

Pinta supports addons, and is freely licensed (MIT). Please find us on Github and get involved with feedback, support, or development.

Pinta runs on Linux, Windows, and MacOS, and is free of charge for all users. Pinta doesn't aim to replace Photoshop, or GIMP, filling the needs of simpler users closer to being MSPaint.exe for Linux, but having enough that you might never need anything else.
